Fashionistas, welcome!
It’s been awhile since I opened my fashion haus. Had to sweep out the cobwebs just so I could get in the door! Want to share a couple of late fall looks put together from pieces I found on sale during my recent travels. Not talking Paris haute couture, here of course. But did hit a great Loft Outlet sale in Dayton, Ohio and stopped at a large department store in Nuremberg where I played dress-up in the fitting room one afternoon.
Check out a few of my latest bargains.
Late Fall Look #1
This outfit was an H&M mix-n-match. The new piece is the jacket. One of the items on the Get Your Pretty On Fall 2017 work wear challenge was a tweed, collarless jacket. Alison at GYPO featured a black and white version. But I wanted one with lots of color. Have never really thought I wear black very well. And when there are so many gorgeous colors, why settle for black?
I paired my jacket with a mustard Portofino blouse from Express, black ankle pants that felt too snug after my out of town indulgences and black booties from DSW.
Tried to find my H&M jacket online but no luck. Here are some similar options. By clicking on the links I earn a (very, very) small commission.
Late Fall Look, #2
Sooooo, I was in Target looking for Christmas gifts – outfits for the grandbabes – when I came across a whole line of new bejeweled cardigans for me. I know, I know…if I was shopping in toddlers and little girls how did I spot these women’s sweaters. My vision is just that bionic. Can spot a pretty, inexpensive cardigan from across the store.
This “A New Day” cardigan softly whispered to me like *snow* falling. And you know how I like *snow*. Next thing I knew, it and two other blingy sweaters were in my cart (forgot all about why was I in Target in the first place). I paired my new *snowflake* sweater with a lace Loft Outlet tee, gray Loft Outlet cords, old fashioned Oxford booties and a three-peas-in-a-pod silver necklace. Sort of a monochromatic palette.
Found this exact cardigan and several others similar. You can help me support my clothes buying addiction by clicking on the links below. PC thanks you.
Late Fall Look, #3
On our trip from my mom’s in Lexington, Kentucky to my in-laws’ in Ohio, we stopped at a very nice outlet mall in Dayton. I really didn’t want to go in because I have almost no will power when it comes to Loft Outlet. But I promised myself I would just LOOK. And I did. I just looked. Then we went on to PC’s parents’ house.
The whole time we were in Ohio, I couldn’t get my mind off of the great blouses I had seen at Loft Outlet for $14.95. Some really pretty prints in shades of blue that I could pair with my icy blue cords. So when PC asked if I wanted to stop again at the outlet on our way back to Lexington a few days later, I had to scratch my head wondering how he can always read my mind. Here’s what I bought.
I was wearing gray cords when I tried on these blouses. Loved the interesting flowy, tied sleeves on the two darker tops and the patch pockets on the lighter utility blouse. Also bought a beautiful aqua/teal/turquoise shawl cardi and a velvet tee with a paisley print. All for $100. I love paisley. Even have a Pinterest board dedicated to it, here.
Was excited to open my fashion haus when we got back to El Paso and play dress up with my new blouses.
Although it is hard to tell with my high quality fashion photos, these are my blue cords and the shawl cardi actually works with all four tops. But you’d never know it in these pics! Ha! And these were even taken with my high speed, low drag Sony camera. Found these shawl cardigans that are very similar to the one I found at Loft Outlet.
I invite you to click around on the images above which will earn me a few pennies to help support my Loft Outlet habit. Thank you!
Your Turn
As we move from fall into winter, have you found any fabulous bargains too good to pass up? Won’t you share in a comment below? What are you wearing these days as the temps are finally dropping and it is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas? Since I haven’t been working the last month or so, I have been wearing a lot of sweat pants and tees when I am home. But I packed some nicer outfits for our visit to see our parents. Like to dress up for my mama. She even said I looked thin. Of course, she has severe macular degeneration that makes her almost legally blind, bless her sweet heart.
Hope you will stop back by tomorrow for a post about some of my favorite children’s Christmas books or Christmas children’s books. You know what I mean. Oh, and I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you that registration is open for the Get Your Pretty On winter style challenge.
You can register through my affiliate link (more pennies for me!) and we can play dress up together. These challenges are a fabulous way to update your look for the new year, using clothes from your closet or a few new pieces from stores like Target, H&M and Loft Outlet. What’s not to love?
Thank you for playing dress up with me. Going to link-up with my friends Carrie, Jennie and Laura for the first time in many moons. (Hi girls!!!) Hope you will run by to see what they are styling, too.
Hugs and kisses,
amy
Such amazing fall looks and beautiful photography/flat lays too I might add! Love the tweed jacket. I really wish I could find one! And the lace shirt is gorgeous too!

Ha! You, my dear, are so kind. I am trying to up my photography game but it is hard. PC is really not excited about me taking selfies or about taking pictures for me. I guess I need to give him a little incentive? But until I figure out how to get him to help, I am stuck with selfies, mirror photos and such. Thank you for your sweet compliments. The tweed jacket was at H&M. But they aren’t showing them online now. Lace tee is old Loft Outlet. Love Loft Outlet.

Such great looks. I have a gray and an ice blue version of your Target sweaters and the do look like “snow.” And I think I need to wear them this winter.
Love the colors in the tweed jacket. Tweed is such a fun fabric — I’m like you, I prefer the multi-colored ones.

Yay!!!! I should have bought the ice blue cardi, too!! Wonder if they still have it?? None of my clothes are expensive or fancy, but they are comfortable and generally fun. Will be on the lookout for pics of you in your cardis.
I share one of your recent photos with my PC hoping to inspire him to be more cooperative in taking my photos. He really dislikes selfies and taking pics of us or me. I think it goes back to his childhood somehow. And it isn’t that I am trying to take photos to point out how fabulous I think I am!! But a blog of just words might be rather dull. Tee hee.

It’s so fun to get inspiration (and new things) from shopping!! At least that’s what I always rationalize to myself–ha ha!!
And if you’re thinking about an item long after seeing it, then it’s a winner!!!!
Love it all, Leslie!!!

Thank you, Jodie. Good tip, that if I think about a piece long after seeing it, that maybe I should go back to purchase. I love my Loft Outlet finds. And at $14 they are so reasonable. I don’t have any expensive clothing at all so it could be a lot worse!!
